Andrew D. Levy Scholarship Fund for Students with Disabilities

The Honorable and Mrs. Stanley M. Levy established the Andrew D. Levy Scholarship Fund for Students with Disabilites in May 1979 as a tribute to their son, Andrew D. Levy, to provide scholarship support to a student enrolled in the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

Andrew Levy is one of the country’s leading trial attorneys and is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers. His practice focuses on complex civil, criminal and appellate litigation in state and federal courts, and Mr. Levy is widely recognized for his significant pro bono work. He has frequently acted as counsel in efforts to establish group homes for persons with disabilities in the face of active community resistance, and was lead counsel in the landmark case, Potomac Group Home Corp. v. Montgomery County, Md. He is a past recipient of the School of Law’s Benjamin L. Cardin Award for Public Service, one of the law school’s most prestigious awards for a practicing attorney.
