Louise Biggs Caffrey Scholarship Fund

The family and friends of Louise Biggs Caffrey established the fund in May 1988 to provide scholarship support to help meet the expenses of female law students at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law who have demonstrated a need for financial aid. When second year student Louise Biggs Caffrey met a sudden tragic death in December 1987, her friends and family established the fund as a lasting tribute to her memory. Louise demonstrated a special sense of vision and purpose and a commitment to creating a world in which men and women, in equal partnership, work together towards a more just society. Preference will be given to women who demonstrate maturity, a sense of vision and purpose, and a commitment to creating a world in which men and women, in equal partnership, work together towards a more just society.
