Cynthia Ellen Northrop Scholarship Fund

The Cynthia Ellen Northrop Scholarship Fund was established in 1992. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships to graduate students in the Community Health and Home Care Nursing Services Program in the University of Maryland School of Nursing. A commitment to the nursing profession must be exhibited by the student through membership and leadership in professional organizations, participation in public policy issues, and demonstrated knowledge and respect for standards of care and conduct codes. The student should also have demonstrated, through special projects and papers, his/her concern for the equal distribution of nursing services to the medically under served populations.
