Kelly Heisler, RN Scholarship Fund

The Kelly Heisler, RN Scholarship Fund was established in 2007. The purpose of the fund is to provide endowed support to either a University of Maryland School of Nursing fourth year BSN student expressing an interest in gerontological nursing or a student currently enrolled in the Gerontological Nurse Practitioner Masters Program.

To the extent possible, first preference is given to Maryland residents, followed by residents of Delaware, Pennsylvania or Virginia. Recipients will have demonstrated financial need and academic merit. Recipients may be awarded consecutive annual scholarships provided the student continues to meet the specified award criteria.

Should the spendable income be sufficient, as determined by the Dean of the School, additional scholarships may be awarded. Each recipient must meet the above criteria. If a selected recipient leaves the School, a replacement will be named to the extent possible.
