Ellen H. Yankellow, BSP '73, Pharm.D. '96 Scholarship Endowment and the Ellen H. Yankellow, BSP '73, Pharm.D. '96 Health Outcomes Fellowship Endowment

The Ellen H. Yankellow, BSP ’73, Pharm.D. ’96 Scholarship Endowment and the Ellen H. Yankellow, BSP ’73, Pharm.D. ’96 Health Outcomes Fellowship Endowment was established in 2015. The purpose of the fund is to provide endowed support for a scholarship and a fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

Scholarships are awarded to students demonstrating academic achievement and financial need who are enrolled or seeking to enroll in online masters’ of science (M.S.) programs offered by the school. Currently, M.S. programs are offered in regulatory science and pharmacometrics. Recipients will be known as the Ellen H. Yankellow Scholars.

Fellowships are awarded to individuals enrolled in one or two year post-doctoral programs at the school who wish to develop skills as independent researchers in health outcomes and health services research. Recipients will be known as the Ellen H. Yankellow Health Outcomes Fellows.

It is the donor’s wish that the income generated by the fund be awarded in full each year, and that it alternate annually between the scholarship recipients and the fellowship recipients. The first award will be made to the Ellen Yankellow Scholars. If there are no suitable candidates for fellowships in a given year, scholarship awards may be granted in that year at the discretion of the Dean.
