Leonard and Gwynne L. Horwits Scholarship Endowment

The Leonard and Gwynne L. Horwits Scholarship Endowment was established in 2016. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship support for a student entering the second year of the Pharm. D. curriculum at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy who has demonstrated high academic achievement and has exhibited empathy and concern for the community, as reflected through public service, participation in school or community organizations, or in other ways deemed meaningful by the scholarship selection committee. If the spendable income exceeds the amount required to award one full tuition scholarship, one or more additional scholarships may be awarded to recipients meeting the same criteria.
