Mark Battle Scholarship in Nonprofit Management

The Mark Battle Scholarship in Nonprofit Management was established in 2003 by Mr. Mark G. Battle, former director of the Social Work Community Outreach Service (SWCOS). The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships for students who are specializing in the field of Non-Profit Management at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and doing their internship through SWCOS in order to promote innovative practice, strengthen the profession, and encourage the commitment of students to changing and improving conditions for those who have been marginalized.
