Richard W. Friedman Scholarship Endowment in Juvenile Justice and Criminal Justice

The Richard W. Friedman Scholarship Endowment in Juvenile Justice and Criminal Justice was established in 2012. The purpose of the fund is to provide endowed support for scholarships for students enrolled at the University of Maryland School of Social Work who plan to pursue or further career interests in Juvenile Justice or Criminal Justice. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and financial need, and may be awarded to students pursuing either doctoral or master’s degrees. If no student meets the scholarship criteria, no award is made and unexpended income reverts to the fund.
