Margery Singer Dannenberg Scholarship Endowment for the Prevention of Domestic Family Violence

The Margery Singer Dannenberg Scholarship Endowment for the Prevention of Domestic Family Violence was established in 2014. The purpose of the fund is to provide endowed support for annual scholarships to deserving students enrolled in the master’s degree program at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Scholarships will be awarded to students whose work, study or community service in family violence and intimate partner violence prevention and intervention demonstrates an ability to make a significant contribution toward the goal of eliminating family violence.

After initial selection by the Dean’s appointed scholarship committee, the finalist(s) will be approved by a team named by the Dean consisting of four School faculty members with expertise in the areas of intimate partner and family violence prevention. The team will recommend scholarship candidate(s) to the Dean, who will make the final selection.
