Sloane M. Francis, M.S.W. '97 Scholarship Endowment
The Sloane M. Francis, M.S.W. ‘97 Scholarship Endowment was established in 2015. The purpose of the fund is to provide endowed scholarship support for students enrolled in the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), academic achievement and leadership, as determined by participation in School and community activities. Eligible students’ area of study should be related to working with children and families, particularly those that have physical or mental disabilities. Preference is given to students who have a connection to Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital and who express a desire to work in the profession in Baltimore City or adjacent counties.
