Professor Harry Chaiklin Scholarship Endowment

The Professor Harry Chaiklin Scholarship Endowment was established in 2016 by alumni and friends in honor of Dr. Harry Chaiklin, a professor at the University of Maryland School of Social Work for 35 years. The purpose of the fund is to provide endowed scholarship support for MSW and PhD students enrolled in the School of Social Work. Scholarships are awarded to students with demonstrated financial need and academic excellence who have displayed evidence of successful, innovative methods in their previous practice experience with an organization or community, or on behalf of individuals, groups or families. Recipients are selected upon admission to the MSW or PhD program by a faculty committee established by the Dean, based on information provided in student admission materials.
