Gwendolyn C. Lee Award for Innovative Practice by a Social Work Student

The Gwendolyn C. Lee Award for Innovative Practice provides scholarship support for students who have carried out a successful piece of innovative practice during their field instruction with an organization, community or on behalf of individuals. Gwendolyn C. Lee, after whom the award is named was, until her death in 1978, a social worker who practiced in a variety of settings in the Baltimore area. She was a firm believer in advocacy and challenged the profession to think in creative ways.
